Welcome to the Diabetic Runner 2008 Challenge! I started this challenge for the vast community of blogging runners and diabetics. I'm hoping to inspire many to do great things, to push themselves to extraordinary heights, and to raise awareness of diabetes, and the United Nations' designated "World Diabetes Day" held every year on November 14th. This is a personal challenge, you sign up for, help promote, and ultimately hold yourself accountable for. Choose a goal that is appropriate for you, and strive to reach it during 2008. Sign up here and leave us all a link to your blog/site so we can follow your progress. Then add the challenge banner to your site to let others know you've taken on this challenge, and dare them to do so as well! ...And no, you don't have to be diabetic to join the challenge. Good luck, Here's what you do:
1. Commit: Commit yourself to run either 500 or 1000 miles during 2008. 2. Sign Up: Sign up here as a registered challenge participant. 3. Tell The World: Add a banner to your site to let the world know you are up to the challenge, and help raise awareness of WDD. 4.
